Stop Making One Brand Your Whole Personality
Stop building a shrine to one luxury brand. DON’T BE THAT PERSON. While I love Hermès, and I know many of my close friends do, I just can’t understand making Hermès my whole personality…also, my bank account refuses to. Unlike your romantic life, your closet’s love language shouldn’t be exclusive to one brand and while I can go my entire life in Chloé, I know there’s a whole plethora of young and not so young designers that just…EAT.
Style and luxury isn’t supposed to cage you. It’s supposed to elevate you. If your entire personality is one brand, you’re not curating a lifestyle… you’re cosplaying as a storefront. You can love Hermès, Chanel, Loewe, Telfar, and your grandma’s vintage closet all at once. That’s where your real style comes alive. That’s where your story lives: in the mix, the nuance, the unexpected little spark that makes people say, “Oh, that’s so her.”
So don’t make one brand your identity, make your identity the thing that makes every brand look better just by being on you.
